What is CyberSecurityPlatform.cz?

We are a community of experts and a platform for professionals and students of information and cyber security 🛡️. We specialize in cyber security law and its practical application.

Our vision is to share knowledge and experience at the community member level. To fulfill our vision, we maintain an online platform, organize professional conferences, meetups (not only) for members, create educational content and many other interesting projects.

Our story began in early 2022. The inspiration came from the existence of other professional societies and communities. However, none of them were focused on cyber security law. Until now, a community like CyberSecurityPlatform.cz was missing in the Czech Republic.

Motivators of the project

The following factors contributed to the realization of CyberSecurityPlatform.cz:

• Neither the Czech Republic nor the Slovak Republic has a professional association focusing on the Cyber Security Act (ZKB).

• In general, there is a shortage of cyber security experts on the market, which provides an opportunity for the creation of a professional community.

• Much of the Cyber Security Act requirements and experience in their application are applicable to all regulated entities and can be shared.

• Based on the EU NIS2 Directive, the impact of the Cyber Security Act will be many times greater. While today the Cyber Security Act regulates up to 500 organisations, the amendment is expected to regulate more than 10,000 organisations.

• The EU's NIS2 Directive supports the development of security communities.

• The education system in the Czech Republic is "ossified" and rarely provides students with adequate professional projects and practice in a relevant field (of course, there are exceptions).
